Product Marketing Manager

The Product Marketing Manager will have direct hands-on ownership of all marketing collateral assets. They will work in a cross-functional fashion coordinating with our global teams including Product, Sales, Development and Customer Experience. Our ideal candidate is an independent, entrepreneurial, passionate self-starter who will leverage their creativity, intellect, and passion to expand SSB position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive overall product marketing strategy - own branding, positioning, messaging and creative for our products and collateral.
  • Synthesize market intelligence & customer insights to develop a deep understanding of our potential customers, who they are and what segments we serve and to help drive the product roadmap
  • Work effectively across internal teams to distill key functionality and benefits into core product marketing messages.
  • Directly develop key market assets including cut sheets, presentations, e-mails, video and webinar content
  • Work with the Product team to articulate release features to the market with release announcements, newsletters, PR, social media marketing, webinars, and other activities to drive adoption of the products
  • Work with the Product and Solutions Engineering team(s) to develop sales training and demo materials for the sales team on new features and products
  • Setup and moderate regular product webinars and other community-building activities to develop a more engaged community around usage of SSB products
  • Partner w/ Growth Marketing and CEO to drive messaging across all media (website, social, print, conferences, Amazon channels and more).
  • Craft & develop compelling audience-specific messaging for client industries / vertical(s).
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the organization’s ability to meet its goals.
  • Manage the execution of initiatives from idea through launch, while setting and continuously managing the right expectations with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Communicate product marketing plans and strategy to senior leadership
  • Work with members of the management team to craft a press strategy and social media approach as well as inform customer service talking points.


  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in Product Marketing
  • Customer obsession
  • Proven success developing business, marketing planning/analysis, opportunity identification and optimizing marketing investment
  • You must be excited to challenge and disrupt the status quo, and highly driven by the prospect of growing an innovative business within a game-changing company.
  • You must be comfortable with and find opportunity in ambiguity
  • Strong ability to collect and leverage customer insights to inform marketing strategy
  • History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
  • A bias for action for developing awesome marketing assets
  • Ability to easily transition from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
